Los Angeles Regional Agency
What We Can Do For You!
The Los Angeles Regional Agency, also known as LARA, is a consortium
of 16 large and small member cities in the Los Angeles County. The
Agency was formed by environmentally conscious recycling advocates
and representatives from the various cities. In 2004, the CIWMB,
California Integrated Waste Management Board, approved the formation
of LARA as a regional agency whose mission was to promote environmental
responsibility through the state mandated reduce, reuse, and recycling
philosophy of the State of California Assembly Bill 939.
